Description
Our 12oz Klean Kanteen water bottle was hard to hold for our toddler since it didn't have any handles. I designed this three piece handle to fit onto the Klean Kanteen and assemble without any glue or fasteners. This was my first project utilizing both a rigid and a flexible filament to complete the build.
-The handle body was printed from TPU at 40% infill and a .2mm layer height. TPU is used so that it can fit snugly around the water bottle, and allow the handles to pop and lock into the sockets. Print with socket openings facing down, no supports needed.
-The handle portions need to be printed from a non flexible material, I used PETG at 100% infill and .2mm layer height. Print with the narrow sides on the bed, no supports needed.
The pieces where a little tighter than I liked on my original print (but still worked), so I made some slight adjustments to them before uploading them here (but have not tested them). The handles should slide into the sockets of the handle body with some effort (if needed, use a little dish soap as a lubricant to slide the handles in place you should feel them lock into place). The handle body has a protruding portion that locks into the handles when they are fully seated.
I have included the fusion 360 .f3d file incase you need to make some changes to fit your exact bottle.
