Description
I made this little model to check the hole size needed to properly fit a 6x2mm magnet so I can properly model holes in future designs. The magnets I have on hand are from Amazon. The holes start with true to size in the direct center, and increase to 6.5mm diameter and down to 5.7mm diameter. There is a locating triangle on the surface to allow easy reference with the part drawing with dimensions
I went with more larger holes than smaller since I believe that shrinking is probably more likely than expansion, especially since circles in models tend to have geometry close in when converted to triangles.
Printed on a Bambu Labs X1C with the default 0.20 mm profile, this model takes 1.32m (4.01 grams) of filament (Bambu Basic PLA), and takes 17m12s to print, with 8m2s of that being for print preparation.
