Description
My submission for the Tissue Box Cover contest! Of course I had to make it a Rubik's Cube.
To sell the illusion of a Rubik's cube I twisted the layers a few degrees to make the Rubik's cube look mid turn. This makes the print require supports but I felt it was necessary for the look I was going for.
I've added 2 versions, one with stickers, and one without. If you print the one without stickers you can add real stickers if you like or you can leave it blank which still looks cool.
If you print the one with stickers you will want to 3d print the stickers separately in different colors and glue them in. I was careful to make the recesses for the 3d printed stickers at 45 degrees so they don't overhang and need supports. However If you have a printer capable of printing in multiple colors you can have it print all at once. It would require the ability to print 6 colors, 1 for the cube, and 5 for the different color stickers.
Another thing you could do is put the “stickers” randomly on the cube to make it look like a scrambled Rubik's Cube. Or you could put them in a pattern if you like!
It easily fits tissue boxes that are 110x110x130mm which is what I had at home to reference.
