Description
Using 6x2 mm magnets, I was able to eliminate the two problems I had with the old design. . . the center pin breaking, and my tape's metal tang not fitting the slot. I also added a lip to the base so the two parts fit together nicely. 6x2mm (actually 1.62) magnets hold the parts together. Mine snapped right in, but a tiny amount of CA glue might be advised. I printed this using PLA on an Ender 3 Neo with 20% infill. A very small amount of support is needed to insure that the two vertical magnet pockets remain round. I used the defaults in Cura. If your parts come out a bit snug, twisting the pair together will wear them in.
