Description
This is a 3d printed adapter to attach the TM Cougar throttle to the base of the Wheel Stand Pro.
You need:
The 3d printed parts must be screwed in the front left, back left and back right corner of the throttle (the parts are named accordingly), using the throttle rubber feet as a guide and replacing the original M3 screws in the corners of the throttle with the (longer) M3x30 ones. The 3 mm holes in the printed parts have a housing for the head of the screw, so that the (new) bottom part of the throttle remains flat and can rest on the Wheel Stand Pro base. Then the remaining hole of each 3d printed part must be bolted to the respective hole in the Wheel Stand Pro base, using the M8 bolts and nuts on the left and the M4 bolt and nut on the right. You can optionally add 1 to 2 washers for each hole. At the end you'll have your TM Cougar Throttle securely attached to the Wheel Stand Pro base.
The adapter works flawlessly both with the original TM Cougar Throttle than with any of the various modified versions created over the years by the flight simulator community. My throttle is a 2nd hand highly modified version and works with no issues.
If you, like me, fly DCS in VR, own a TM Hotas Warthog on a Wheel Stand Pro Deluxe V2 Superwarthog and are excited by the new VR addition to Falcon BMS 4.37, now you can resume your old TM Cougar Throttle and transform your A-10C Warthog simpit for DCS in a Falcon BMS simpit for BMS by replacing the throttle base and by moving the warthog stick from the center to the right of your Wheel Stand Pro.
From DCS A-10C to BMS Viper in a bunch of minutes and with no tools!
The adapter is printed in PETG with standard PrusaSlicer setting except for 7 perimeters and 40% infill (the gcodes for the MK3S+ are provided). Once screwed and bolted as intended the whole is very firm and rock steady.
The Fusion 360 project is attached, so that you can possibly modify the position and diameter of the adapter-to-base holes if you own a different Wheel Stand Pro base.
