Ink Holder Right parts fitting Epson Stylus Pro 9700

Replacement plastic parts for the Ink Holder Right of an Epson Stylus Pro 9700.

Epson no longer provides this part for the printer and I broke mine while trying to clean out a clogged nozzle, turns out the "cleaning" fluid actually contained some amount of acetone, which the ABS inkstation obviously did not like.

The most critical part that will break in the ink-station is the small needle that goes into the ink-cartridge itself. I've designed the replacement-ink-needle in this print to utilize the old base.

To use the replacement needle, cut out the old one along the lines on the back of your ink-assembly backplate and glue the new one in place using some glue that binds to PPE and your resin.
Even if your adhesive does not fully bind to both materials, you should be fine, as the ink-backplate will be holding the needle in place and the ink will be flowing directly between the backplate and the cartridge through the printed part.

Finally my advice to you if you own any printer: DO check the ingredients of the cheap amazon cleaning cartridge before you leave in the printer overnight. ;-D

Print instructions

I've designed most of these parts so you can print them using FDM technology, for example, the top guide needs a few fins to guide the cartridges, you'll have to print these fins separately and glue them into place later.

The Replacement-ink-needle does only have about 0.75mm wall thickness and a 1-1.2mm hole for the ink.
I strongly advise you to print the fine replacement needle using an SLA printer out of solvent/ink resistant resin.

If your Ink-pickup pads are completely full, you can use the dxf files to cut out a few new pickup pads using your cnc or laser cutter.
