Description
This mount is inserted into the USB port hole at the front, and fixed in place using the mounting bracket in the back. Yep, you need to sacrifice USB ports to install this mount. Although, in the future, I will probably make a version that passes wires through the hole below the USB port, and leaves as much room as possible for USB, but it will not be as robust as the one that sacrifices them.
Note 1: this mount uses an M5 screw hole and is made for a headlight that uses a 3 cm wide mounting.
Note 2: you need to force an M5 screw through mounting holes, because it is not large enough to make a screw easily go through it. Reason for this is to release some pressure from the mount that will be induced by the nut that holds the whole thing together, by moving some pressure from the nut to the plastic that the mount is made from, and the nut can be tightened not as much.
Note 3: Print the mount in ABS or any other material that is resistant to bending and can withstand an impact in case of a fall
There is a video from KingSong on how to disassemble the wheel, but you don't need to take of the pedals to get access to the front bumper. You just need to take off side panels and unscrew the bumper itself, and the video will be your guide on how to do it:
Using the same video that you used earlier to disassemble the wheel you should be able to put it back together.
And you're done! You have a custom headlight installed!
I'm also gonna make a schematic for the electrical system that should power and control the headlight and share it here, so stay tuned!
