Description
(The story behind this: my friend always wanted a pink Hello Kitty guitar with hearts on it, so as soon as I got my Prusa MK2 I printed him the guitar of his dreams. This design remained lost until today when I found it again and decided to publish it here.)
Compatible with small printer build volumes - dowel pin 3D printed electric guitar. Sand and glue the flat parts then secure them together with dowel pins. Apply a few coats of clear paint to make it sturdier and shinier. This design was made to be compatible with this DIY kit:
Choose any layer height to make it look nice, I used 0.3mm to have it done quickly. The infill should be somewhere between 15-25% to make this all hollow and able of transferring sound waves through the guitar body. Hearts should be situated with their bottoms up, so you can print the files nicely and easily without support for each heart.
All the Strat Kitty files are MMU-friendly and they do work that way. I am not sure if it will work if printed separately and snapped together, but there is only one way to find out. The guitar body has a nice cut-out for Kitty.
It was a fun project to do and the final sound of it was something so rewarding, especially in the hands of someone who really knows how to play guitar (my friend).
I hope you will enjoy it!
UPDATE: The file with pins was missing, it is uploaded now :)
