Gas Tank Cap ((for Honda Motorcycle)

This cap has been designed as a replacement for an old Honda motorcycle gas tank.

The measurement have been taken from the tank itself.

This should fit for any tank that have a pitch of 3mm and a max diameter from 54 to 56mm.

The Cap depth is 14mm, please keep that in mind before printing to ensure the gasket is well compressed and the bottom of the cap does not touch the flat surface when tightened.

The cap is equipped with "anti-splash" kind of design that should avoid spills through the vent hole for normal rides. For more efficiency, you can adapt a non-return valve on the 6mm diameter output.

You can download the design with my logo on it which I find to be a fun addition.

However, you can download the same design without the logo if you prefer a less apealing look.

30% for the Cap and 15% for the Gasket

Filament:

Cap = PLA/PET/ABS - Gasket = TPU 

Notes:

The cap is strong enough in PLA for occasional use but keep in mind that the mechanical properties will be altered with sun/heat exposition.

For a durable print, prefer using PET or ABS.

For good tightness, print the gasket in TPU with 3 wall loops and 2 bottom and top layers.

Preferably use concentric finish for each faces and 15% infill with a grid pattern for a perfect squishy property.
