Description
I had printed my frame lock tiles on a textured bed so they didn't turn very well when trying to lock them. So… I decided to create a spanner for not only the frame locks, but the playtile locks too.
There is one handle and the 2 types of spanner head just slide onto the handle (A bit of force is needed with a tap of a hammer or something else heavy.) - Make sure that the arrow head on the spanner matches the arrowhead on the handle and be careful you don't put them on the wrong way round. When put together you should see the handle arrow facing down and the spanner head arrow facing up towards it - If you don't see the arrow on the spanner head, then you have put it on the wrong way round.
I printed 2x handles so I would have one of each spanner but you can interchange the spanner heads if you wish, but this will require tapping on and off if you are using one handle.
I have done a few tests on each model which is why the version number has increased as I fine tuned each part to fit properly and work as intended.
The main photo shows the handle in action on a frame / frame lock storage unit.
Tip: Print the handle diagonally on your print bed to make sure it fits and remove the skirt if needed to make the print area smaller for smaller printer beds. The first handle I printed was printed horizontally with a skirt - The print did print but the skirt was in 2 parts and not fully around the model. Luckily the slicer knew this and didn't print the skirt beyond the print bed size limits.
