Description
This is yet another 2020 dumpster fire model. It has colored text and wheels!
It's designed to print easily with no supports (all overhangs are ≤30°), and all tolerances are 0.3 mm. If you find that things don't quite fit, try increasing the size of just the dumpster slightly when you print it.
There are 3 versions of the dumpster:
single-color-dumpster.stl)multi-color-dumpster.stl and multi-color-2020.stl)mmu-dumpster.stl and mmu-2020.stl, or mmu-2020-dumpster.3mf) I recommend the 3mf version, since it includes seam positioning, if you're using PrusaSlicer 2.3.There are also 2 versions of the fire. One with a hole for hanging (fire-with-hole.stl) and one without a hole (fire-without-hole.stl). Note that the fire has directionality (it will only fit in the dumpster one way.) By default, it's oriented to print with the front face down. If you like the look of your printer's top face better, just flip it over when you print.
You will also need to print one set of wheels (wheels.stl). There are insets in the bottom of the dumpster that they fit into.
When you've printed all the parts, simply assemble it with super glue and hang it for everyone to enjoy. Or give it away so someone else can have a permanent reminder of this dumpster fire year.
This is also available on Thingiverse.
This is based on this 2020 Dumpster Fire Ornament by AtomKemp, though remade from scratch.
Everything should print in the given orientation with no supports. I recommend printing at 0.15mm layer height for the dumpster, 0.2 mm layer height for the fire, and using adaptive layers for the wheels to get smooth curves.
The given GCode files are for the multi-color (non-MMU) version of the print.
