The power supply fan of the Anycubic I3 Mega is noisy. I wanted to install a fan Kaze-Jyu Slim (100x100x12 mm) which is particularly quiet. It must be mounted astride the support provided for a 100 mm fan so that it does not interfere with the capacitors and allows to close the chassis of the printer.
Just stall it to cut the tabs for the fan screws at each corner of the original file, stick 2 triangles at one end, insert it in the middle of the support by forcing a little and stall with the blocking.
A few holes of 3mm with the drill at the triangles and the blocking, we use the long screws supplied with the fan and screwed 4 nuts M3.
For those who have not yet printed the superb chassis for power supply from ml_blh. I have attached some models with the triangles already in place. In this case, it is not necessary to screw the fan, the locking piece just inserted into pins. You can secure the locking piece with 2 M3x8mm screws. (see last images)
The assembly does not touch the capacitors of the power supply and does not interfere with the installation of the lower part of the printer (it will be necessary to flip it to 180 ° for a good ventilation by the gills)
I chose to put the blower towards the components. The printer being in a box with clean ventilation, the air flows are not so upset. The fan of the power supply runs at 1000 rpm, another identical is fixed on the bottom wall of the chassis, and effectively cools the motherboard and drivers 2208. It is also necessary to replace the right fan of the print head by a Noctua 40mm, and during an impression, the silence is impressive!
Edit: Several more or less openwork versions are provided. If you are putting the fan into extraction mode, consider printing the mirror blocking part the longest way to allow the fan cable to pass through.
Edit2 :*The last stl positions the fan on the opposite side to the capacitors.*
