Description
I soldered 24awg PTFE wire to the batteries and ran them through the hole on the top of the radio. I kept the original 18350s in to keep it balanced. You can also use a small 90 degree usb-C adapter so you can still have access to the USB-C port on top for updating firmware/simulator control. This mod does not block access to the module bay so you can still use whatever module you like.
You can look up how to route the wires from other designs. I soldered the other end of the wires to the internal battery contacts.
I use x2 vapecell F14 1400mah 18350s for the stock battery locations and 3x samsung 35E 3500mah cells in the mod body for a total of 2s 4900mah.
You will need:
solder
24awg wire
m3 x 4mm heatset inserts (for handle hinges)
m3x8mm cap head bolts (for handle)
m2x20mm cap head bolts (for mounting the body)
m2 x 8 or 10mm self tapping screws (for the side body lids).
This has been designed to be printed without supports with negligible overhangs.
I printed this in PLA but I may switch it to PETG or ASA in the future.
