Description

LED Upgrade to get a better view on the print.

My Recommendation to download:
MK3S Led_Panel.stl or Panel_Clip_20.stl

  • mk3s_led_panel_stop.stl

I didm´t find something else like this without putting something unelegant to the extruder. Top lights are not very helpfull in enlightening the area directly under the nozzle.

So here is my solution. No disassembling of the printer needed!

Just print this lamp, insert a strip LED´s (2,5 cm x 1 cm) and do the electric stuff.

    I made 3 parts yet.

    1. Normal one (I use atm) with the possibility to include a switch.
  1. Normal one + an extra clip to make it more stable
  1. & 4. Skeleton ones without place for a switch. Need Supports! (or gigantic bridging)
Simply shift your heatbed back and put this lamp in the extrusion. You may connect a 24V LED with your EINSY board directly or use an external energy supply. I did the second because I dont have any connectors at the moment :)

    STOP Part
!!!Avoid any possible collision with your extruder by setting a STOP with a T-Nut (like https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3998406). Simpliy screw in the drop in T-Nut and you will be safe and still able to moove the LED Panel back and forward with ease.!!

This is only for people with little bit of knowledge how about elctrix. Since this is my "first" edition of this light it is of course on your own risk!

I like it very much and will not miss it :)

    Have fun printin!

    Update 1
Clip 2.0: Clip fit good but wasn´t strong enough to give any support. I redesigned it but the clip isnt that important for the build.
Added one Right side parts and a messy Fusion360 model for those who want to remix it. (I recommend starting from scratch and live the idea!)

    Update 2
Added M3 STOP part (works together with the t- nut) and some more lamps for the right side.
-- Tested the new Clip with the standard panel and it works very nice :) (skeleton models are slightly different so if you print them you can test them :))
