Description

A direct adapter between :

  • an Air Hose Fitting used on an Air compressor
  • a Gardena Hose Fitting

Purpose:
To winterize your irrigation system by forcing the air from an air compressor into the pipes in order to remove water and avoid having it frozen over the winter (and damaging the system).

You will need a classical Gardena rubber seal.

Although I've modified it by adjusting some dimensions, I need to thank soeselheinin for the F360.f3d model file of Gardena Male from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4412905

PS1. The pink examples from the pictures are an older version of the adapter
PS2. Please use carefully the compressed air on the irrigation system since some Air Compressors can provide a higher pressure than the one supported by the pipes & pipe-fittings.

Print instructions

I printed it vertically, with the Air fitting on the bed, and the Gardena fitting on top.
I suggest to use Brim !
I used supports only on the top side (for the Gardena Seal trench) buit, depending on the printer, it might work also without supports.

For myself I printed in PETG (but PLA works also) and I increased the number of perimeters (but this is totally optional). 15% Infill should be fine.
