Description
A simple, easy to print holder for an endoscope/borescope. Will accommodate 7.5mm diameter camera, should work ok with smaller ones (eg, 5.5mm) too thanks to clamping screw.
Retains the camera position geometry from the original, but redesigned to use just one mounting bolt (M3x25) and to print without support. Also has a simple hole to self-tap an M3 (eg M3x6 or M3x10) to clamp the camera. Carefully work an M3 bolt into the clamp hole in and out a couple of times to tap the thread before you mount the holder onto the E-axis. Don't overtighten either of the bolts (as per usual Prusa mantra) to avoid cracking the mount arm or damaging your camera.
I was asked to add the source F360 file, which I've done. However, it was a bit of a hack as I started from an brep to get the main geometric relationship, then had to work with odd angles to get the right printing orientation - lots of construction planes etc. And then I had to fill in under unprintable overhangs. I just wanted to get it done, not do it "properly". So it's a mess and not my usual standard of design work!
Use PETG or any filament that can take the heat from the print bed (not PLA). 3 perimeters, 20% infill, 0.15mm layers.
