Description

Introducing the Figure 8 Tree Support Marble Run!

If you’re looking for a challenge you have found the right place! But brace yourself, this print takes quite some time as it will fill your build plate.

**Pictured model is scaled down to 47% for use with 6mm marbles

Compatibility

This marble run was modeled using a 15mm steel ball with the track trenches at 16mm. With that said, this model is completely scalable below 100% so you are free to resize to accommodate any marble size below 15mm! (If you have a large build plate you can go bigger!)

Print Settings

I have attached a screenshot of the settings I used for supports in Bambu Studio (based from PrusaSlicer). With that said, you may need to adjust settings depending on your preferred slicer.

*Edit (5/20/23)

  • Top interface spacing can be set to 0.0mm to help strengthen support connections as they won’t be removed!
  • Max bridge Length will vary the support structure under the model, I recommend a 10mm or smaller depending on scale!

*Important note: If you are having trouble generating support under the whole bottom side of the track, you may have to paint them on manually. This is easily done in Bambu Studio, not sure for other slicers.

  • Layer Height: 0.2mm (Your preference)
  • Infill: 10-15% is perfect
  • Walls: 2 perimeters minimum
  • Bottom layers: Bump this up to 4-5 Layers
  • Scale Range 47%-100%

Feel free to share your masterpiece!
