Description
This is a double fan, contra-rotating, wind spinner with oval shaped sails. The mount is designed for use with a piece of ½" EMT conduit tubing. 608 bearings (4 total) are used in the rotors and base mount. Two bearings are used on the EMT support, seperated by a bearing spacer. The separation helps ensure a steady support with free movement.
Fan assemblies are attached to the axle support ("axlePost") with M8 bolts, 25mm long.
Rotors and sails are assembled using M3 cap head screws that pass through the sail root. Use “CC” rotor components with the "sail1CC" sail. The sail1 sail is with the other, non-CC, rotor components. Individual sails are 250mm long & will fit an Ender 3 bed diagonally. Print 5 of each.
Print 2 caps. After attaching rotor assemblies to the axlePost, caps can be attached to rotors using cap pins (5 per cap). These should be fitted to the rotors in the screw openings. No glue is needed. Once the pins are fitted to the rotors, the caps can be applied over the pins. Friction fit will hold things together. No glue is needed.
