EIBOS CYCLOPES - HANDLE

The Eiboss Cyclopes lid doesn't come with a handle which means that in use, removing or replacing the lid is a two handed affair. 

This handle was designed to look as though it might have been an original fitting and uses the existing holes so that no alterations to the existing cover, not even removal of the rubber grommets.

It requires two 14mm M4 machine screws and nuts (embedded in the print).  It would be wise to print the little test piece as a check to make sure that your M14 screws are the same length as my M4 screws.

Simply print the spacers and the test piece and test-assemble.  If the screw is too long, adjust the height of the top spacer in your slicer as shown in the screenshot below.
 

I printed mine in PETG as the handle is located directly above the top vent and prolonged exposure to the warm exhaust may affect PLA.

The handle does not carry a great load, but I printed it with 5 perimeters just to give it some heft.   Please check the .3mf file attached for details of where to insert the nuts (or you can find the correct place easily in the slicer if you wish.

Printed with 0.4mm nozzle and 0.2mm layer heights in QUALITY mode.
