Description
This was created as prop for a gift with the “NRW bottle” in mind. It is a standard size commonly used in Germany and Austria, but the bottle stopper might also fit other bottles.
This model is remixed of "Bobble flame candle" (by @rorys3D)
Differences from the original model
Print settings
I recommend avoiding the use of brittle materials like PLA. Although I haven't verified it, PLA could potentially break under the compressing pressure during assembly.
The models are already correctly oriented.
Otherwise, the original author suggests no special print requirements, which are true for this model too:
Printing: No special printing requirements, e.g. 0.2mm layer, 2 perimeters, 15% infill, NO supports. Print the flame with brim just for sure.
Post processing
You might need to clean up the connection hole in the flame, but if your printer is calibrated well, this won't be the case for you.
Press one end of the spring into the open end of the flame. It may be a tight fit, so you might need to apply significant pressure until the entire spring compresses. Afterwards you repeat that step with the stopper.
The original author suggests super glue:
I recommend gluing the spring on both ends (in the base and in the flame as well). This eliminates possible backlash that could dampen the bobbling.
