Description
I could not find a hard enough thick mattress to properly support my back. So I use a flat floating solid bed frame with a 4 inch mattress topper. My back pain is better, but the solid smooth bed frame and silk like mattress cover just slide on each other.
I tried various solutions from using sticky silicon like material from slipping around to actual mattress grippers. They either ruin the topper by squishing it too much or just rip off bits and pieces slowly. It started becoming expensive to maintain it.
So I designed these simple solid infill box plates with 2 tiny holes at the bottom to fix it to the bed frame and extend high enough from the frame that the mattress sung-ly fits inside the boundaries. I have been using it for a while now and it has not slipped once.
Hope it helps someone else just like it did to me.
PS: if your mattress or topper is thinner please tweak the size (height) accordingly. Otherwise you might end up with a hard edge that really hurts when you sit accidentally and the mattress sinks in more than you expect. - Ask me how I know! 😂
PPS: I printed 8 of these (2 each for a corner).
