CAMLOCK ADAPTER FOR 32-75MM HOSES

I have investigated many different ways of adapting the CAMLOCK system to other vacuum hose dimensions, but the variety of diameters and hose types seems to be infinite.  Sadly  there is  no one size fits all approach.

In the CAMLOCK system, tolerances are so small (and my drafting methodology is a little confused to be fair!)  that modifying the original threaded connector end left too much room for error for an end user, particularly while printing with little experience or a less than ideal machine setup.
 

ALL IS NOT LOST!!

I have now tested two adapters which, when sized to fit, will do the job as though they were meant to be there!

Both thread EXACTLY into the vacuum thread of the CAMLOCK and for that reason I strongly recommend printing both parts with the same filament.  Note that the thread is reverse threaded!
 

All of these files print without support, however if you have doubts about bed adhesion I recommend using a 4mm brim on the inside only.

INTERNAL FITTING FOR HOSES 35 - 42 MM OD.

STLs are provided for what I believe to be the most common sizes of vacuum hose.   If yours is different please message me and I will add one to fit.

If the hose is not a perfectly tight fit, take a leaf from the manufacturers' books and run a small bead of construction adhesive or bathroom silicone around the INSIDE of the fitting before pushing the hose in snug against the stop.  (If you ever want to remove the hose you may have to sacrifice the last 40mm or so by cutting it off)

1. Download the PARAMETRIC SOURCE INFORMATION pdf document to access my Onshape drawing - insert your hose diameter and the drawing will generate a model with .02mm of clearance automatically.  Full instructions are provided.
2. You can copy the source drawing from the above link and make whatever amendments you wish.
3. A STEP file is provided for your use, if the above does not suit.

EXTERNAL FITTING FOR HOSES 44 -  76  MM OD.

STLs are provided for what I believe to be the most common sizes of vacuum hose.   If yours is different please message me and I will add one to fit.  I seriously don't recommend the largest sizes (over 65mm) but if you have a need, they may work for you.

If the hose is not a perfectly tight fit, use a hose clamp to secure it. (That would be wise in any case!)
