Description
I saw the original design (all credit to "Bradley" - see below) but realised that it didn't quite do what I wanted - I needed something a bit larger, and also wanted it to fit over the 6mm plate of my Prusa i3 clone. In addition, I took on board one of the comments from the original design and made the cup hemispherical, to make it easier to pick out items.
The OpenSCAD file is incredibly basic, and easy to modify if you want a parts cup of a different size. Just bear in mind that if you change one parameter you will probably need to change one or two others!
I made mine in ABS at 0.2mm layer height with a brim, but just about any material will work, at any layer height - just pick any set-up that you are happy to use. I didn't use any support as I'm happy to bridge a 6mm gap, but choose "support" if you're not so confident (or reckless!).
