Description
I came across the DIY Dremel CNC thing on YouTube and decided to build one myself. While working on it, I wanted to add a dust guard so I could properly extract dust during operation. The original design by Nikodem doesn’t include a dust guard for the 500 W spindle, so I designed my own solution.
This model is a remix of an existing dust guard that was originally made for a slightly larger motor, adapted specifically to fit the 500 W spindle used in this build. The design features a fully 3D-printable dust guard that attaches using four embedded magnets, allowing it to snap securely into place while still being easy to remove.
The dust brush itself is designed to be printed in a flexible material such as NinjaFlex (or a similar TPU). It should be printed relatively thin to ensure enough flexibility to conform to the work surface while maintaining effective dust extraction.

For printing the main frame, PETG is used, there is also a sound-dampening seal that is printed in TPU, which helps reduce vibrations in the design.
