Description
I absolutely loved tacohittah's ornament, but I wanted a bigger version on a stand as a display piece. I closed the hole on the ornament, made it 300% bigger, and added a stand with the IOWA branding as an inlay.
All of the pieces are press-fit and worked well printed at default sizes and tolerances, but you may need to scale the pieces to 99% or 101% if your particular printer tolerances are different than mine. None of the parts need support.
To test your tolerances for the text inlay and stand, I have included a test fit file (Iowa Hawkeyes Decoration Stand Test Fit). You can print two of these at 100% and 101% to make sure the text inlay fits as desired. Much faster and easier than printing the whole stand and finding out the text doesn't fit in well.
The top-level 3mf files have the print settings that I used and the color-change steps built-in.
Please note that if you print the decoration model directly, it will be very small. For this stand, the decoration should be printed at 300% scale. The included Iowa Hawkeyes Decoration.3mf file does this for you.
Play around with the sizes, this could also look great as a small desk toy.
