Description
I frequently make quick use of my cordless Dremel tool and like to have it handy. Previously I hung it on a wall using the included metal hoop but that always left it facing away from me (so turning it on and off and controlling the speed was difficult). I leave the flexible shaft attached all the time - I find it easier to manipulate and its thinness aids close in work but without a mount for it it dangled around my workbench. Time to 3D print something right?
There are two models included. The larger one holds the 8220 upright and enables me to control the settings with one hand. If you don't use the flexible shaft this holder will still work standalone. The second model is a smaller holder the flexible tool slides into. When I need to use it I simply lift off the shaft and turn the Dremel on. These are currently mounted on a wall immediately adjacent to my work bench.
I printed these using Hatchbox Blue PETG (kind of a Dremel blue). The larger model has countersunk holes for #10 screws (5mm) and the smaller one for #6 (3.5mm). Because the holders are round I added a thin rectangular pad behind the screw holes enabling them to fit flat against the wall. The Dremel holder will probably fit other similar cordless tools.
