Description
After owning an Umarex Colt Government 1911A1 CO2 pistol (cal. 4.5 mm (.177) diabolo) I found that the right grip (CO2 cartridge cover) moved around a lot and the grips are not that good so I intended to adapt wooden grips from real 1911 as the screw holes fit the replica (thanks Umarex for that).
But my wooden grips were very fragile so I decided to create a specific model for that pistol with tighter tolerances than the original flimsy rubber grips.
I made two versions of these, one pair with the notch at the bottom rear and one without that I think are better to rest your palm comfortably.
The "main" visual difference with the original (notch aside) is the groove for the mag release.
I don't have wooden filament but I suppose it is the way to go here.
Updates:
2021/04/21 I added a right grip with holes (4.1x3 mm) to insert your own dowel pins because it is easier to print.
2021/04/29 I added a pin that can be printed from the side to be strong and pressed in the "no pin" grip.
