Small Storage Tray for 2022/2023 Subaru BRZ/Toyota 86

This is a small storage tray that is meant to sit in the empty space above the gearshift in a 2022/2023 Subaru BRZ and (possibly) Toyota 86 (assuming the interiors are the same). It is meant to add a small amount of storage for something like a key fob or the like. 

I saw something like this online selling for $30 and I thought, “I have plastic at home”, so here we are. I based this design on the photos in the product listing. This makes it a remix, in my opinion, but there is no original model for me to link to.

This should be printed in ABS or ASA to (hopefully) withstand the rigours of living inside an automobile interior. It will, in all likelihood, need to be fastened in place with some double-sided tape. I cut a piece of felt to fit in the bottom in order to reduce the noise of things sliding/rattling around in there while I drive. 

This has yet to be field tested. I have included a .step file for others to modify and improve upon. If some other format is wanted, let me know and I will do my best to include it.

Instructions

• Print in ABS/ASA at a reasonable layer height. I tried 0.2 and it seems fine.

Optionally

• Sand the everlovin' flip out of it for a nicer finish
• Smooth with acetone, maybe, or paint it
• Cut some felt or rubber for the interior bottom
• Stick into place with some thin, double-sided tape (might be necessary)
