Ikea Gladsax Picture Frame Hidden Hook Hangers

A friend had all these frames but no easy way to hang them. He was putting vinyl albums in them so they were a bit bulky.

This part allows you to adjust where the wire hangs across the frame.

I printed in PLA, but any type will work.

Assembly

To complete 2 pieces, you will need the following to use:

• 4x M2.5 screws. I used 16mm, but you could use shorter
• 4x M2.5 nuts
• 2x M3x8mm flathead screw
• 2x M3 nut
• Picture hanging wire
• 2x Picture hooks (I don't know what they're officially called, but there's a picture of them)

Check the photos for assembly hints. If you don't have the fancy hooks that slip into the slot on the part, you can just run the picture wire thru each side. I just happened to have them.

Additionally, the frame has a lip that the printed part's long slot will slip into. Once snapped in place, tighten the 2 M2.5 screws. Wrap the wire and hang!

To be extra safe, a small drop of locktite on those M2.5 screws will keep vibrations from loosening the screws over time.
