2012 Kia Soul Door Jamb Switch Spacer

I had an issue recently arise where my car would think the door is open when it has been shut. This would keep the interior lights and door light on the instrument panel activated even when the door is shut. Come to find out, the door lock sensor didn't make enough contact with the body to activate the sensor. I came up with a super simple design that would give the sensor enough distance to activate, when it comes in contact with the body when the door is shut.

This issue could have arose from accidentally slamming the seat belt in the door while shutting, creating additional space between the door and the body.

Insights:

• I used a height of 2mm, which I found to work perfect in my situation.
• I printed a total of 4 spacers, to ensure that all doors wouldn't have this issue later on.
• I printed with 100% infill and no supports.

Future:

• I'll find a way to include a step file so that people can adjust the height, if needed.
