Description
On the double chest I simply modified the magnet hole to fit a 4x1.4mm magnet at first, but my first print came out with the built-in supports and I had to tear them out with pliers and sand it down. Since I couldn't figure out how to get rid of them, I went in to tinker and voided them out. Print with supports and it comes out fine.
For the single chest I did the same, but also made it a tiered storage box for 16 Nintendo Switch cartridges. I also did a quick color-swap with the Switch logo on the front of it. Otherwise use all the original external panels. There is also an 'accent' piece that you can put in to give it some color contrast (the grey grid thing). It's only .6mm thick, just enough to get three layers, iron it, and then set it in with some light dabs of glue.
For me, using the incredibly soft Overture Matte Light Brown filament, I printed the panels right-side-up to get a nice finish on the top layer, using a brim. Supports were not necessary. A quick run with the profiling tool afterwards and they were nice and clean and attached just fine. I did have to do a tiny bit of trimming on the inside of the panels around the hinge, but that was probably just how incredibly soft this stuff is.
Count up the panels you need and print that quantity of them. You should need nine of various sizes for each box.
