Turntable Miniature Alignment Plate

A buddy painted some Deathmarks for me as a gift, and asked me to get some pictures for him. I had picked up this rotating stand from Amazon on a flash sale, and hate the way I can never get anything centered on it properly.

15 minutes in Tinkercad and a few hours later, I made this little plate that fits right over the top of it (with a little wiggle room). It holds six 32mm bases evenly distributed around one 40mm base in the center, slightly elevated. The slots are actually 33mm and 41mm, just to put a tiny bit of clearance in. The ID on the ring is 147mm, so it fits with just a tiny bit of wiggle.

I could have printed in black but since I wanted a matte finish I didn't bother and just printed it out in white then took the rattle can of Army Painter to it. I'll probably add some terrain features to it in the future, thinking arid brush.

When I first dropped it in to Cura I realized I really didn't want to waste the material on supports, so I split the model up. You can print it as a single piece, or print the little ring separately then glue it together (what I did). Print the ring at .2 for speed, the top at .12 for smoothness. This also saved like 2hrs print time (the ring was 18m start to finish, pulled it off and immediately started the top).

Notes:

If you print the pieces separately, you can print the ring at either .12 or .2, doesn't matter. The top looks best with top layer concentric surface and .12 resolution.
