Description
The Fixed Pop Filter Connector (FPFC) is a 3D-printed solution that addresses the issue of instability in the gooseneck connector of the Stedman Proscreen XL metal pop filter. The FPFC is designed to securely hold the pop filter at an optimal distance of 3-6 inches from the CAD U37 USB Studio Condenser Recording Microphone, maintaining its position even during adjustment of the suspension scissor arm.
The Fixed Pop Filter Connector (FPFC) is designed to solve a common problem faced by audio professionals and enthusiasts - the drooping of the pop filter due to the flexible gooseneck connector. This issue interferes with the consistent performance of vocal recordings and web calls. The FPFC solves this problem by replacing the gooseneck connector with a stable mount that firmly holds the pop filter in place, reducing plosive noises and enhancing audio clarity.
The Fixed Pop Filter Connector attaches to the base of the CAD U37 USB Studio Condenser Recording Microphone using the microphone's base ring. It places the pop filter at an approximately central vertical position and a horizontal distance of 3 inches from the edge of the microphone. This setting is within the recommended distance for pop filters, providing optimal performance for most types of vocal recordings. Once installed, the suspension scissor arm can be moved without disturbing the pop filter's location, ensuring consistent audio performance.
The Fixed Pop Filter Connector is ideal for podcasters, streamers, vocalists, voice-over artists, and any professionals or enthusiasts engaged in vocal recording activities. Its benefits are most noticeable in scenarios where the microphone is frequently adjusted, such as during web meetings and calls.
