Description:

(14mm)

Presenting the Ash Catcher, a humble yet highly effective solution designed to maintain the pristine condition of your glassware. This CAD creation emerged as a personal challenge, where I sought to apply my newfound knowledge from the invaluable teachings generously shared by the YouTube community. With its simple design, the Ash Catcher serves the noble purpose of preventing ash and build-up from tainting your glassware, extending their cleanliness and preserving their functionality. As I continue to learn and grow, I wholeheartedly welcome your feedback, suggestions, and tips.

***Disclaimer***:

(Polylactic Acid) in smokeware:

Please note that while PLA is a commonly used material in 3D printing, it is generally not recommended for certain applications due to potential bacterial growth. PLA, being a semi biodegradable material derived from renewable resources such as cornstarch or sugarcane, may have a porous nature that can retain moisture and potentially promote bacterial growth over time. Therefore, it is advisable to consider alternative materials specifically designed and approved for the intended use. Prioritizing safety and selecting appropriate materials for your specific application is crucial to ensure optimal results and user well-being."

Printing:

This design requires supports during the printing process, but it has been successfully printed multiple times. I recommend using a layer height of 0.16mm for optimal results. To ensure a watertight seal, it is recommended to use a minimum of 3 bottom and top layers. Increasing the number of layers will further enhance the water-tightness of the print.
