Description
I designed a scale lock block first but at 1/10 scale they were impractical to print and you wanted to weight them after printing anyways so it seemed best just to cast them.
This is a 2 part mold with significant overlap to stop leakage. I suggest wrapping in tape, strong elastic, clamps, etc. to keep it together while pouring/tapping
Tested in PLA and it works fine even with quick set Cement All mix (high heat generated). PETG is probably better for a little more flex when demolding and I am testing that now. I'd love to see a TPU one but don't know that I want to commit to the 19 hour print for one side!
All mold surfaces seem to come out great, they back side will be down to your skill! (mine is clearly lacking)
Update 05/12/23-- a new bottom piece added for those that want to put wire in the tops for pickup and I tested at 1/14 scale for construction and they work great
