Description
A wall mount for Amazon Kindle Fire HD 10 (7th Generation).
I'm running Openhab on it, a great system for home automation.
Should also work for the newer generations because they didn't change the design of the tablet itself. The newer models have a USB-C power-connection, the 7th generation models USB-micro.
The mount consist of two main parts: the base frame is screwed to the wall and holds the Kindle Fire, the top frame is glued to a metal sheet and is held in place by the magnets and the base frame. I took stainless steel for the top frame but wouldn't recommend it: you'll see every single fingerprint on it. I would go for aluminium next time.
Due to the print bed dimension limitations, every frame is cut into four pieces. I glued them with UHU Plast Special.
A power button is included so you can turn the tablet on and off without opening the mount.
