SD Card Adapter Mount for T-slot aluminium printer frames

This is a simple frame mountable holder for the micro SD to full sized SD card adapters that connect to the micro SD slot of many 3D printers. I designed it for use on my CTC A10s "Creality CR-10" knockoff printer, but can be used on most any printer that uses the T-slot extruded aluminium extruded rails for a frame.

I attach this to the front left corner of my printer using 2 1/2" M4 screws, and 2 M4 T nuts, but the screw holes are 5mm, so M5 hardware will work as well, with perhaps some cleanup, depending on your printer.

This model is intended to print vertically without supports. Printing it horizontally with supports would be absolute madness! It fits my card adapter perfectly using the .2mm resolution and the default Creality profile in Cura, and prints in 2 hours.

This piece is part of a "stand alone" kit I'm putting together for the A10S printer. Part of the kit raises the printer 1" higher than the stock configuration. This piece is a few millimeters too thick to fit beneath the unlifted A10S printer, and I'm assuming the geometry of the CR-10 is the same or similar. In other words, you may not be able to mount this on the underside of a printer that isn't lifted at least slightly. If you're using any of the vibration dampening replacement feet or add-ons, or you've already elevated your printer for a stand-alone mod, you should be fine to use this. Otherwise, it could be mounted on top of either left or right outer frame rails. Mounting it on top of the front frame rail will interfere with bed leveling knobs for the CR-10 and similar printers unless you mount it near the center, alongside the "Y" axis rail.

There are two versions of this model. The SD card adapter will fit the model in either orientation, however, I included a duplicate copy of the model that mirrors the SD card facing indicator so you can select above or below the rail installation, with the adapter flipped inserted in either facing. Print the version that best suits your needs.
