Description
This is a remix of entomophile's LC100 case, extended to include space for batteries and test probe connectors.
I don't use this device often, but when I do, I prefer not to have to locate a suitable 5volt power supply, and sometimes need to test a board mounted capacitor or coil which is much easier with standard test probes.
Rather than reinventing the wheel, I took entomophile's excellent model and extended it. While I was making modifications, I enlarged the text that identifies the buttons, power switch, and power jack to make things more readable when printed at a resolution of .2mm.
As with the original model, this requires supports. Setting support density to 5% allows for an easy, single piece removal of supports using a pair of pliers with a few back and forth twist's.
The LC100 is not an especially popular tester these days since there are far more capable and feature rich alternatives. As a result, nobody is selling even acrylic cases for these devices that come as a bare PCB with a display. If all you're after is a nice case to house your LC100 meter, I would recommend you download and print the case from which this version was modeled. If you want to add batteries and probe connectors, download this version, but be sure to thank entomophile as he did all the work!
I hope somebody finds this useful.
