This is NOT a 1:1 replication of the original Williams drop target guides.

This guide has been modified to outperform the original design, especially

on older, worn out components. It gives the target more room to move while

increasing electrical contact with the PCB. Targets should fall faster without

sticking and score more consistently.

• Oval columns add strength to resist screw damage.
• PCB mounting is sloped and more supportive. Slope ensures that the targets

can drop more easily in the initial part of the fall by relieving friction

between the horseshoes and the pcb as the target tilts back and starts to

fall, while ensuring that the horseshoes make solid contact against the

down and all-down contacts in the mid and lower part of the fall.

• Main platform is thicker and stronger.

v1.1 - Small spacing adjustment to make the ramp machine screw tower match the

holes in the metal frame slightly better.

v1.0 - Now that I've had some time and feedback, also now that I have a good

caliper!!, I came back and redid some of the measurements and made it

much more accurate. If any one noticed some crookedness in their PCBs,

this should fix it. Also, I tightened up the PCB screw hole diameters a

bit.

v0.2 - Based on the SCAD recreation/remix https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2926470 by Thingverse user PL1

(https://www.thingiverse.com/PL1). Changes:

• Reorganized script to reduce duplicate hole removals
• Ramp is now steeper, closer to original part
• Added large circular bases around all hole entrances
• Increased height of the raised crosspiece at the bottom
• Slightly reduced PCB screw hole sizes. #4 screws wouldn't bite when

printed on my Prusa i3 Mk3, YMMV

• Raised the center wall and sloped the PCB mounting surface
• Reduced overall width slightly, closer to original part

v0.1 - First draft based on loose measurements. Wasn't accurate and was built

without SCAD.

Print recommendations:

• Supports: Yes, including bridge supports
• Optionally print on its side if you have problems producing the main platform

successfully.

This part is used in Williams System 3-6 tables.

Screw sizes:

• #6-32 x 3/4" machine screw - Mounts the guide to the frame
• #6 sheet metal screw - Also mounts the guide to the frame (not in all games)
• #4 sheet metal screw - Mounts the PCB to the guide
