Description
UPDATED: A simple cable management raceway / comb to help keep wiring tidy. Designed in OnShape, based on a common wire management product. Top snaps or slides on to the comb / bottom piece. They can be easily cut to length as needed. The total length of the component shown here is 200mm, which will fit on an Ender 3 / Voxelab Aquila and similar printers.
I have printed the parts successfully in PLA and ABS. ABS is harder, because they are long and want to curl up, but if you can do it, the part seems much more resilient, and is of course more resistant to heat, which is often important with electronics.
I updated the design to thicken the walls slightly and to add fillets for strength. I've also added a wider version with greater capacity.
Here's a link to the OnShape file: this will allow you to customize and create your own cable management solutions based on your printer and your preferences.
You can change the length, module, height and width to suit, by double-clicking on the variable name and editing it. Notches is a calculated value based on the module (which is the width of a slot), so please leave that one alone.
