Description
If your Mini does not have visualizers, you are not having enough fun… and also missing out on a teaching demonstration opportunity should you need one. I have had more than one student ask if we are receiving a signal through the antenna. Not yet, but maybe one day!
My best prints of this design have been split in the slicer so that the grid can be set on its face and the receiver/scape printed beside it. While the grid is still hot, bend the ends up as desired. If you miss the window, warm up the print with hot water to be able to bend it easily. I found this much simpler and more direct than bending it in CAD- I could avoid the use of supports. A drop of CA glue to attach the receiver, mount it to the magnetized PrintsofDarkness mount (see below) and it's done. The antenna slides into grooves on the post.
I put silver accents on mine with a silver Sharpie. It's printed in black Prusament PLA.
I used a neat little visualizer mount designed by another user, PrintsofDarkness: https://www.printables.com/model/44716-prusa-mini-z-axis-precise-visualizer-universal-mount
