Description
You get those sanding disks in a savings pack, only for them to get dog eared or lost before you use them.
The packs usually come in six grit sizes (40, 60, 80, 120, 180 and 240).
So have created holders so you can keep the disks in separate grit sizes, stacking them on top of each other.
The holder will hold 94 x 94 x 94 mm disks/sheets.
The top of the holder is special. You can position it on top the same way as the other holders to hold the disks in place securely or you can turn it the other way around and actually store the disk pad with the disks.
They have been accurately designed so they fit perfectly together and have a fairly tight fitting.
Whilst designing this model I experimented with PLA (Unfortunately the tabs are too thin to be practical).
Therefore I would only recommend using PETG
PETG works brilliantly, the stacking clip has enough movement to open up when sliding into the other part and then snaps into the holder quite tight, a small amount of force is required to put them together and pull apart. Also with PETG you have the benefit of a higher working temperature.
I have not tried any other materials as PETG works so well..
