Description
I saw a bunch of paddleboards with gopro mounts, but not the one I ended up getting. I found a cheap mount on amazon, but it was very shaky due to the way it mounted. ( https://a.co/d/0fNq5Ox ) I thought i could do better and used tinkercad to design it.
the other thing I tried to do was to make it buoyant by designing the large ring and using 10% infill, but I have not tested if it will float the whole assembly.
I used paracord to hold it place, but am waiting on some marine shock cord to do it slightly better.
I've used it once, and it is much less shaky that the one from amazon, but when the board moves, the camera moves. There isn't a cheap way to get around that.
It is a bit tight to get the go pro slide in mount in, but its doable. the bolt does git the ring, I am working on a V2 to raise it up and address the tight clearance issues.
I printed it in PETG at 0.3 layer height, supports on the build plate only. (~12 hours on a MK3S)
