SAMSUNG T5 SSD Dock

Had to install a USB-C PCIe card in my aging motherboard but now i am transferring files from my internal SSD to the T5 at 480 MB/s. https://bit.ly/2JyHNsP

This is all well and good, but the ultra short cable that comes with the SSD makes for a cumbersome experience together with a mid-tower workstation.

So i ordered a Deltaco 1m / 3.2ft long USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 male to male cable, and designed this dock to be mounted underneath my table.

I even printed one for my TV, so now it's a breeze to go back and fourth.

The plug of my cable measures 12.44mm by 6.64mm and fits perfectly into the dock.

But no USB cables are the same so the special retention clip i designed, which also serves as the mount, is adjustable to different thicknesses.

How to install:

1. Insert in the cable in the dock
2. Plug in the SSD
3. Insert the retention clip
4. Hold down tight on the retention clip and pull out on the SSD.

If the cable stays put, you're good. 5. Use two wood screws and mount the dock. (See pictures)
