Parts needed for assembly are:
- 5x M3x8mm screws
- 1x M5 screw
- 1x M5 nut
Once printed:
- Place the ESP-EYE in between the camera mount and cover parts.
- Attach cover to mount with 3x M3 screws.
- Interlock the camera mount and printer case mount with 1x M5 screw and nut.
- Preview mjpeg/jpg stream from the ESP-EYE on your computer while holding the camera mount at a prospective mounting location against the printer case. Move the mount up and down as needed to get the proper angle and physical clearance when the printhead is at the front-left corner of the case.
- Create 3mm mounting holes in your printer frame/case and mount with 2x M3 screws and nuts.
I loaded a modified mjpeg streamer program from arkhipenko/esp32-mjpeg-multiclient-espcam-drivers on my ESP-EYE and it works great in Octoprint after setting the mjpeg URL in the MultiCam plugin.
You can turn the camera lenses on the ESP-EYE to adjust the focal length (focus).
