What's this?

One of my favorite frames is Flywoo's Mr. Croc frame - when I bought mine, I also purchased a TPU-Parts kit by Flywoo to mount my GoPro Session 5. Sadly the mount that came with it is a front loader, and even worse, I couldn't figure out a way on how to get the Session 5 out of it again, so I ended up cutting it open.

(Not an uncommon problem for front-loading mounts, I've been told.

Now I've been using side-loading mounts on most of my kwads, so making a side-loader for the Mr. Croc seemed a nice option. So when I recently started changing a few things on my Mr. Croc, I decided to finally do the new mount.

Too my luck Flywoo recently put their mount on Thingiverse, which made it easy to combine it with a side-loader that I've been using for remixes before.

How to Print

before you decide on printing read how to mount!

Well, obviously you want to print this in a flexible material, I've printed mine in pretty standard TPU A95.

Printing it laying on the Side with Supports touching build plate worked for me, but left an unclean border at one of the cut-outs. I can live with that, otherwise I'd try to print it with Tree Supports.

How to mount

Now, as this mount is designed to be a drop in replacement for the one by flywoo, it basically needs to be mounted at their mount-plate.

Important The original kit comes with two 15mm knurled standoffs, which go into the holes - if you don't have the original kit, you can get similar standoffs for example at banggood.

Working in those stand-offs cold is doable but, the easy way to get them in is to put them on the tip of your soldering iron (maybe use an old tip ;), and push them in at the same or slightly lower temperature than you where printing in.
