Cupra Born - Charging Tray Optimized

Based on the idea I found in a German forum, I have created an optimized version of the Qi charging tray for the CUPRA Born.

If you are receiving messages that your smartphone cannot be charged by the charging cradle of your Born, this solution could potentially solve that problem for you!

Printing

It is recommended to print the model using PETG filament, as PLA tends to melt in the car due to the heat generated by the sun.

• Filament: PETG
• Nozzle: 0.4mm
• Layer: 0.2mm
• Infill: 10%
• Brim: no
• Supports: no

Bonus Tip

If your iPhone becomes excessively hot when placed in the cradle, you can try creating an automation in “Shortcuts” (Kurzbefehle) that enables battery safe mode when CarPlay is activated, and disables safe mode when CarPlay is deactivated.
