HIVE SEPARATOR PLATE - AUSTRALIAN NATIVE BEES

This is a simple printed separator plate to assist in splitting Australian Native Bee Hives.

According to the Material Data Sheet Prusament PLA should not leach any byproduct which is harmful to the bees or to subsequent consumers of sugarbag product.   Prusament PETG should also be quite safe to use, but the data sheet is less comprehensive.

I printed mine for speed at .3mm layer height - it's quite flexible but has survived a single split in about the same condition as the laser cut acrylic dividers I have also experimented with.

After mucking around with many alternatives over some years, I am once again using simple timber bars to support the brood on splitting however this model is here if you want to give it a try!
