Ender 3 Pro Body - Beta Version

BETA VERSION

This is a beta release in case you want to help and do some testing. All files have been printed and tested and are functional. 

I have printed all parts and it all seems to work fine, but the experience from other makers will also be of great help. Should you decide to test and print, be aware that something might not be fully ok and some changes might be added.

SUMMARY

Since I got my Ender 3 Pro, I have been thinking about having a body kit that would improve the whole aesthetics of the printer (currently inside a Lack enclosure). As you may see on the renders and the design, the 4040 side channels will be covered by the body, with space for the 4020 Z-Axis.

One of the key points for me was to move the control panel to the front of the printer. I believe that the solution I found is quite good for daily usage and suitable for almost everyone. On the Ender 3 Pro, the display will sit just in front of the Y-axis, allowing the bed to move freely. I may also do a version for the Ender 3 4020 Y-Axis once this is finished.

I may add more info along these notes whenever I recall anything else.

• Added hexagons design to the covers of the 4040s on the sides
• Added customizable panel on the side of the display box for placement of USB and SD card reader. (see renders)
• Added photos of the initial parts printed. 

PRINT SETTINGS

• Orientation: All pieces flat on their base (except the middle back pieces, that should be printed on their back side)
• Supports: YES (recommend tree/organic supports)
• Layer Height: 0.20 or 0.30 (depends on your preferences)
• Nozzle: 0.40 or 0.60 (I did test with 0.60 and works ok, again, depends on your preferences)
• Infill: 20% (gyroid)
• Perimeters: 3 (you may adjust as you wish)

ADDITIONAL MATERIAL NEEDED

• 22x M2x8mm (plus nuts and washers)
• 16x M3 V-slot nuts (you may print any available from Printables)
