Description
This HDD / SSD Caddy Is fully funtional. It clicks in perfectly. It also shows the lights of the drive status.Â
It works on a HP Proliant DL360 G7 Server (Tested) but should also work on any HP Servers that use the same Caddy style eg. HP Proliant G5, G6, G7 Series just to list a few.Â
Printing is not really that difficult. A well enaugh tuned printer should handle it fine.Â
Parts like the carriage at self have some really small details that require a small-ish nozzle like 0.4mm maybe 0.6 also works but a 1mm will most likely not. I recommend a 0.4mm or smaller
click.stl and lever.stl do not require supports. But carriage.stl does require some support for best results like shown in the pictures.Â
I would recommend using a layer hight of 0.2mm.Â
I printed mine in PLA and the click.stl in ABSx but thats just for the color. If your server gets really hot you should think of ptinting everything in ABS or something else.
The parts get assembled by putting in Short pieces of filament and melting the ends and pushing them flat with something heat resistant and flat like a wrench or a knife
For the lighting you can use some clear filament or any clear pieces of line and just glue the ends in place.
